Annotatsiya
This article analyzes the representations of the figure of Iskandar Maqduniy (Alexander the Great) in Eastern and Western cultures. The author highlights the differences between Greco-philosophical perspectives and the Eastern historical-folkloric and religious-spiritual approaches. While Alexander is glorified in Western literature as a commander and philosopher, in Eastern literature he often appears as an idealized or critically assessed figure based on religious and ethical standards. The article explores the entry, development, and scholarly interpretation of the Iskandar image in literary works from a historical and source-based perspective.
